Chair anyone?

Anyone else have a dog that just INSISTS on sitting *on* you?  Sheesh!  It's like I'm her human chair. And she's not exactly small. The thing is, I can't resist her when she gives me that look.  Beagles all over the world should be proud, another human has totally been suckered in by "the look"!

Speaking of dogs, I have to ask this as well... Do any of you have a dog that just eats *dirt*?  Well, ok, let me elaborate a little further.  This isn't just ANY OL' dirt.  Last summer, we burned a huge pile of old nasty hay on this spot. Before the fire was even OUT, the dogs started jumping into it.  Our oldest, a wretchedly ugly rat terrier by the name of Frankie (because of her blue eyes), even layed down in the smouldering fire on this very spot!  It was like she didn't even feel the heat.  We scrambled to get her out of it, only to find her and ANOTHER dog laying there again a few hours later.  No, it wasn't cold outside, they weren't clamoring to chase off a chill by upping their body heat.

Anyway, ever since that day, and I'm talking nearly EVERY DAY, when I go out to feed the horses, one or more of our dogs are feverishly digging and chewing up the dirt in that spot of ground.  Not digging it up to lay in it, more like having a dirt snack!  I don't get it.

I have a 25 pound lap dog, too. He's a very sweet Mnchester Terrier, so it's difficult to tell him no, even when he's squishing the air out of your chest. Cute dogs can be dangerous.

The dog eats the "dirt", like I did when I was a small child, there is something lacking in its diet. Burt material is high in Potasium and maybe nitrogen, but check with your vet first.

I think we have twin dogs. Not only do they look alike, but she likes sitting on my lap as well.
