So, we're officially a week in to Spring. It's the start of a brand new season, and with any luck, our family will welcome some sunshine and fresh air in our lives as well. We've had a rough year, but that which does not kill you...
Well, it's not exactly Spring, temperature-wise, yet. But it's warm enough to start riding over at the barn again. Below is Gambler, one of the Saddlebreds my daughter will be showing this year. He's HUGE, over 16 hands tall.

We're looking forward to a good show year ~ seeing lots of old friends, spending time with our horse-showing family and hopefully bringing home a few blue ribbons. The only sad part about looking ahead to the show season is that our neice won't be there this year. Everyone misses her.
Anyone ever try the sample package of Jelly Belly jelly beans? Let me ask - buttered popcorn? Yick. And they said it's their *best seller*. Egads. And Jalapeno? Double yick!!! Now, I LIKE jalapenos. Jalapeno poppers, jalapenos on nachos, jalapeno bread, yum. But jelly beans? Um... no.
Our - two - chickens have started laying eggs already. They are such good chickens. I save scraps from the table for them, and just get a complete giggle when they come running for treats. Did I mention chickens will eat ANYTHING? Anything. Even buttered popcorn jelly beans.
I'm reading the book, Sattelite Sisters - Uncommon Senses. Has anyone ever listened to their radio show? Is it still on? I doubt out here in hillbilly central we'd get the station. Maybe it'll come out on "Season One" like Gray's Anatomy, lol.
One more thing, in honor of my good friend Min's return to bravejournal, may every day be a blogger day!
